Supplier onboarding – SAP Business Network
As part of Billerud’s digital transformation program – Atlas, we are implementing a new business solution to harmonize processes and data across all sites. The solution will use SAP technology, including SAP Business Network, which is the platform for secure, digital collaboration with our suppliers.
Why are we making this change?
- To simplify and standardize purchasing processes across all Billerud units.
- To reduce manual work and errors by enabling digital transactions.
- To provide real-time visibility and improve efficiency for both Billerud and our suppliers.
This change is a key step in building a future-proof supply chain that supports sustainability and operational excellence
Who needs to act now?
All suppliers delivering to our Gävle mill and Bomhus Energi AB are required to complete onboarding before 4 May 2026, when Gävle mill goes live with SAP Business Network. Other European mills will follow in a phased rollout through 2027.

What will change for in-scope suppliers
From 4 May 2026, suppliers delivering to Gävle Mill and Bomhus Energi AB will start receiving electronic purchase orders and related transactions through SAP Business Network, including:
- Electronic Purchase Orders (e-POs)
- Order Confirmations
- Advanced Shipping Notices
- Goods Receipt
- Service Entry Sheets
- Catalogs & Request for Quotations (for selected pilot suppliers initially)
Please note: Invoice processing is not in scope for SAP Business Network, please find information on invoicing instructions here.

Account types
You can choose between two types of accounts when joining SAP Business Network:
- Enterprise account: Provides advanced features and flexibility for broader business needs, such as enhanced reporting and integration options.
Please note: Enterprise Accounts involve fees. For details on pricing and cost structure, visit: SAP Business Network Subscriptions and Pricing. - Standard account: Allows you to receive purchase orders and collaborate digitally with Billerud free of charge. This option is suitable for suppliers who want a simple, cost-free way to transact.
If you already have an account on SAP Business Network, onboarding will be quick and simple. If you do not have an account or wish to upgrade, we will guide you through the process.

Look out for an email from Billerud with your personalized link. - Register your account
Follow the link and complete the quick registration process. - Complete your profile
Add company details and upload required documents. - Connect with Billerud
