Summer Job 2026: Logistics Planning

Job description

Billerud is a leading manufacturer of packaging materials made from primary fiber. Our company culture is relaxed and encourages continuous improvement. In line with our values, we care about each other, and we do what we say. Billerud is a growing international company with strong local roots. Do you want to grow with us and be part of meaningful work as we produce high-quality packaging materials for a carbon-neutral society?

Join us in creating a sustainable future! We are looking for a summer employee for logistics planning at our Pietarsaari paper mill. Your main task will be to prepare transportation plans for paper rolls. You will collaborate with our international sales network, transport companies, ports, and the mill’s paper warehouse. The working language at the mill is Finnish, but you will use English daily when working with our international sales offices in the United States, Asia, and Sweden.

Qualifications

You will succeed in this role if you are studying or have completed relevant studies (technical or commercial) and/or have previous practical experience related to the position through work or studies. Good IT skills are essential. To work with us, you must be at least 18 years old.

Personal qualities

In our summer jobs, you will be given responsibility from day one. However, we do not expect you to be fully prepared when you arrive at our paper mill. The most important thing is curiosity and motivation to learn! You will be part of a team supported by top professionals. Safety is the foundation of everything we do. Everyone is valued and respected regardless of years of experience. We welcome new ideas and perspectives you bring with you. You will gain valuable work experience, and according to feedback, our summer employees are highly satisfied—many returns to work with us for several summers.

We would love to read in your application why you want to work with us and what your future aspirations are. Who knows, this could be the start of a long-term career with us. While we cannot promise a position after the summer job, we know we will need more professionals in the future. This summer job could be your opportunity to show your enthusiasm and willingness to work with us again.
