We are now looking for a Global IT Chief Enterprise Architect
Ready to lead our enterprise architecture strategy into an important transformation journey implementing SAP and beyond?
As Global IT Chief Enterprise Architect you are responsible for the strategic direction and management of Billerud's enterprise architecture. You ensure that our IT systems, processes, and solutions are aligned with our overall business strategy and goals - and that a well-defined target architecture exists. You will oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and future-ready technology frameworks across our regions, ensuring that the IT investments deliver true business value.
This role is pivotal in guiding our global architecture transformation, maintaining technology roadmaps and fostering innovation, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards. You will chair the architectural review council and work closely with our business stakeholders. You are a part of our newly created Global IT Governance organisation, leads a small team of enterprise architects, and reports to the Director Global IT Governance.
This role is located in Solna, Stockholm Sweden and requires some travel (5–10%) within Europe and North America to support architecture and project related activities.
Your main tasks will be:
- Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of the global enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business and IT goals.
- Technology Roadmaps and Innovation: Develop and maintain technology roadmaps that reflect the current and future state of the enterprise architecture across all business domains in all regions.
- Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce global IT governance frameworks and architecture standards, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and security requirements across regions.
- Cross-Domain Integration & Alignment: Oversee the integration of processes, data, and applications across different business domains to ensure seamless interoperability and reduce complexity.
- Project & Change Management Support: Provide architecture leadership and guidance to large-scale global IT projects, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and roadmaps, as well as supporting ongoing initiatives to maintain architecture consistency and alignment with business needs.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we believe you have:
- A Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Enterprise Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
- Senior experience in IT architecture, whereof several years in a managerial position – preferably in a multinational organization.
- Proven experience leading enterprise architecture initiatives at a strategic level, including ERP implementations, cloud migrations, digital transformations, large-scale IT projects.
- Practical experience as project manager or technical project lead, with a good understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and their practical application.
Meritorious:
- Understanding of SAP EPR landscape and systems.
- Certifications in TOGAF or similar architecture standards.
