Job description
To replace the retiring position holder, we are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Sack & Kraft Paper team, ideally located in Pietarsaari but other locations within Finland are possible as well!

We are currently looking for a communicative and experienced Sales Manager to join our Sack & Kraft Paper team. The position is ideally based in Pietarsaari, not excluding other Finnish locations. It involves travel within Finland, Europe and the Baltic countries. You will be part of a highly motivated sales team of around ten Sales Managers currently located in Europe, Singapore, China and India.
As a sales manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing Billerud’s market position in Finland and the Baltic countries. The role includes the responsibility as Key Account Manager for an important Finnish Customer Group. The role includes the sale of papers for Bakery/Quick Service Restaurants, Flexible Packaging, Interleaving, Technical Paper, Sack and Bag enduses.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Achieving the sales budget for your customer portfolio in line with strategy and business plan
· Establishing commercial agreements with customers in accordance with company policy
· Executing and implementing the sales plan set by the Sales Director and the Segment Managers
· Identify customer needs and develop new ways for Billerud to create value
· Actively participating in internal sales conferences and segment team meetings when appropriate
· Taking a leading role in marketing and sales development projects
· Collect business intelligence from the market
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we believe you have:
· Approximately 5 years of experience in global B2B paper or packaging sales
· Strong negotiation skills for high-level commercial discussions
· Technical knowledge of paper packaging products
· Proven ethical business practices
· Fluency in Finnish and business-level English
Personal qualities
To succeed in this position, we believe you should have excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to stay organized and meet deadlines. Personality matters to us – we value sound business judgement, integrity, flexibility and willingness to learn. Frequent international travel will be required.
