We are looking for a Global IT Project Manager
Billerud has an ambitious strategy for the coming years, requiring large-scale transformation across the business. The IT Governance team plays a crucial role in this transformation by providing the structure, methods, and expertise to ensure that the changes are planned and delivered at the right time.
The change agenda is driving a demand for professional project management competence, structured in a small Portfolio and Project Management Office (PMO) team consisting of project managers, portfolio, and project support. For this team we are looking for a Global IT Project Manager.
In this role you will act as a specialist in project management and lead prioritized projects and programs within Billerud’s Project Portfolio. Additionally, you will be an ambassador and coach for project, program, and portfolio management processes and governance within the Global IT function and across Billerud.
Your main tasks will be:
- Project Manager
- Lead and manage business change projects from initiation to handover, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals from project idea to implementation and closure.
- Support project requesters to define project scope, project business cases and other requirements to secure that the projects follow the Portfolio governance and approval process.
- Develop project plans with timelines, budgets, and resource needs. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery, monitor progress to identify and mitigate risks, and communicate status updates and issues to stakeholders/senior management.
- Manage project documentation.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and presentations.
- Portfolio and Project Management ambassador
- Be an ambassador for Portfolio and Project Management by supporting the IT Governance team in improving project management methods and promoting their adoption.
- Coach projects beyond direct management to ensure adherence to processes, and support in leading workshops, meetings, and communications to share knowledge and best practices.
You are a part of the Global IT Governance function and reports to the Manager Global IT Portfolio and PMO. The position is preferably based at our HQ in Solna but can also be based at our mills in Gruvön, Skärblacka, Gävle, Frövi or Karlsborg (Kalix). The role will require some travel.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we believe you have:
- University Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Solid Project Management experience (ideally with IT elements) as a Project Manager, or from a PMO or similar function.
- Experience in supporting project management training and governance, enhancing the company's project management skills.
- Experience in leading people within project environments.
- Experience of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and how to apply them.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Planner, Microsoft Project, JIRA).
- Fluency in English (oral and written) is required; Swedish is a plus.
Meritorious:
- Experience from the Manufacturing industry.
- Certifications in project management like Prince2, PMP, ITIL.
