Summary Description:
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, reporting to the Front-End Maintenance Manager, manages E/I Maintenance as part of the maintenance team for the E-3 System including the Roll Wrapping and Shipping area. This position plans work and supervises the area E&I craftsmen.
Qualifications
Key Accountabilities:
- This position will promote and ensure safe work practices, as well as engaging team members to drive continuous improvement.
- Interface with and support operations, maintenance, and engineering.
- Leads safety initiatives and actively coaches safe behaviors.
- Build employee engagement and development programs to create high skill level and maximum versatility.
- Understand and follow best-in-class maintenance practices throughout the mill.
- Own area backlog by planning and scheduling weekly as well as planned outage work.
- Own continuous improvement in planned outage efficiency and execution.
- Collaborate with operations, other maintenance supervision and maintenance teams to implement planned work, emergency work and preventative maintenance schedules as required.
- Interface with engineering, vendors, in-house crafts and outside contractors to support maintenance projects throughout area of responsibility.
- Provide technical manpower support to assist capital projects.
- Provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis; rotating weekends included.
- Must be able to move about the mill freely (extensive walking, climb ladders and stairs, etc.) and able to tolerate temperature extremes.
Personal qualities
Required Experience and Education:
Minimum Required Experience and Education:
- 3-5 years of Industrial electrical experience required
- Advanced schooling in an electrical related field is preferred but not required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field or equivalent years of experience.

Required skills:
Minimum Required Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, analytical abilities and computer skills (SAP, Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, Excel.
- Experience creating and managing work orders, job plans, and maintenance schedules in SAP (or similar CMMS).
- Strong technical, problem solving, decision-making ability.
- Self-starter able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
- Knowledge of pulp and paper production processes.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and work in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple time sensitive issues affecting daily operations.
- Knowledge of frequency drives, DC drives, and synchronous controls
- Knowledge of power distribution systems / motor control centers
- Knowledge of Instrumentation and PLC’s
