We are now looking for a Global SAP Master Data Architect to take ownership of the global product and material master data concept while acting as the subject matter expert for Material Management (MM), Classification, and Variant Configuration.
About the role
As Global SAP Master Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving Billerud's end-to-end product master data landscape. You will ensure that material master structures, classifications, configuration models, and related processes support business requirements while enabling harmonization, scalability, and high data quality across the SAP ecosystem.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, information owners, process experts, IT architects, and implementation partners to drive alignment, support SAP transformation activities, and establish robust governance for product-related master data.
Your main tasks will be:
· Own and continuously develop the global material master architecture, including dependencies to classification, configuration, and variant configuration.
· Define and maintain harmonized master data structures, business rules, templates, and design standards across product and material domains.
· Ensure end-to-end master data consistency across SAP and integrated business systems such as planning, production, and manufacturing applications.
· Support data migration, data mapping, testing, validation, and data readiness activities during SAP implementation and release cycles.
· Act as the subject matter expert for Material Management (MM), Classification, and Variant Configuration, supporting solution design and continuous improvements.
· Collaborate with business data leads, SMEs, IT architects, and implementation partners to establish governance, improve data quality, and support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
· Provide guidance, documentation, training, and operational support within the master data area.
You report to: Manager Global IT Information & Process Governance.
The role is located in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden, and includes occasional international travel.
Qualifications
· University degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Experience working with SAP master data architecture and cross-functional business processes.
· You have expertise within SAP Material Management (MM), Material Master, Classification, and Variant Configuration.
· Experience from SAP transformation programs, including solution design, migration, testing, cutover, and deployment activities.
· Experience working with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Best Practices, and process modelling tools such as Signavio.
· Experience working with integrated production, planning, or manufacturing systems is considered an advantage.
· Experience supporting data harmonization across functions such as Sales, Sourcing, Production, and Finance is highly beneficial.
· Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is considered an advantage.
Note: You need to have a permanent Swedish work permit to be considered for this position.
