Summary Description:

The Analytics Developer designs, develops, and supports business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role partners with stakeholders in Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing to transform business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining semantic data models, developing intuitive dashboards and reports, and ensuring the performance, reliability, and usability of Power BI solutions. The role requires strong expertise in Power BI, including data modeling and DAX, as well as proficiency in SQL and a working knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and modern data platforms.

The Analytics Developer works across the full analytics lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to visualization, optimization, and ongoing support. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with the ability to understand end-to-end business processes, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and translate complex data into actionable insights.

We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Business Intelligence professional with deep Power BI expertise and a strong data and analytics foundation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can develop high-quality BI solutions, maintain a strong focus on data quality, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI solutions, including semantic models, datasets, reports, and dashboards that support business decision-making
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance and Manufacturing stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into analytical solutions, and drive adoption of BI tools
  • Develop and optimize data models using industry best practices (star schema, data relationships, measures, and calculations using DAX)
  • Create intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate insights and trends
  • Ensure high performance, reliability, and usability of Power BI solutions across the Power BI Service environment
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to support reporting and data analysis needs
  • Support and contribute to data pipeline processes, including ETL workflows and integration of data from multiple sources
  • Apply data quality and governance best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust in reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enhancements, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of BI solutions
  • Provide subject matter expertise on BI tools, data structures, and reporting best practices, mentoring team members as needed
  • Participate in support and on-call rotation to ensure availability and performance of BI solutions

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or data analytics roles, with increasing responsibility
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing end-to-end solutions in Power BI, including data modeling and advanced DAX
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering dashboards and reports for business users
  • Strong experience with SQL development, including querying, transformation, and performance optimization
  • Experience working with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and structured data environments
  • Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain, Finance and/or Manufacturing business processes and data
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, troubleshooting issues, and delivering solutions in a fast-paced environment
     

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with modern data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar ETL/data integration tools
  • Exposure to Lakehouse or cloud-based data architectures
  • Experience integrating data from ERP systems such as SAP
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Service
  • Strong data modeling skills, including semantic models, star schema design, relationships, and performance optimization
  • Advanced DAX capabilities for complex measures, calculations, and tuning
  • Expertise in dashboard development, data visualization, usability, and storytelling
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable reporting and analytics solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Data & Platform Knowledge

  • Proficiency in SQL development, complex query writing, and performance optimization
  • Understanding of ETL, data integration, and transformation processes
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms and architectures such as
  • Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and cloud environments
  • Knowledge of data quality, validation, and governance principles
  • Basic data engineering skills, including data pipelines and preparation
