For our Business Development team, we are looking for a Brand Owner Manager
As Brand Owner Manager, you will play a key role in driving business development and value-based selling, with sustainability as a core component, to strengthen our market position within Sack & Kraft paper in Europe.
Your mission is to drive demand for Billerud products by engaging directly with Brand Owners - typically our customers’ customer - and other key industry stakeholders. By leading initiatives to develop and introduce innovative paper packaging solutions, you will create value for our brand owners while ensuring both business growth and improved sustainability performance.
Your main tasks will be:
- Grow Billerud’s market position within Sack & Kraft paper in Europe by engaging with brand owners and capturing added value opportunities.
- Identify and establish relationships with European brand owners, selling advanced paper packaging concepts.
- Develop and introduce new products/solutions together with brand owners, machine suppliers, converters and Billerud departments based on relevant needs.
- Fulfil projects according to business plan, by executing activities to meet targets for new volumes, margin and Brand owner satisfaction.
- Monitor market intelligence on market trends and competitor activities, identify and report trends and new requirements from stakeholders in the value chain.
- Represent Billerud at industry events, trade fairs, and conferences.
- Work with, and become a proficient user of, the Billerud’s CRM system to record all new Leads and proactively manage New Brand Owner Accounts.
You will be part of our Business Development team (Business Area Paper) and report to Director Business Development Sack & Kraft.
We have an open location within Europe for this position. If you not are located near one of our offices, the position will be home-based. The role involves international travel (approx. 30-50 days/year).

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we believe you have:
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, or business development, with a focus on value-based selling. Preferably from building materials industry.
- Proven experience engaging with end customers and strategically influencing key decision-makers in the value chain, to drive demand and market preference for your products.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional European languages is consider a plus.
Meritorious:
- Experience from the paper sack/bag or other packaging industry, preferably wood fiber based.
- Product and technical knowledge in paper or/and plastic packaging.
- Knowledge of sustainability in the packaging industry, and environmental issues relating to packaging and packaging materials.
