Electrical Instrumentation Journeyman (Wisconsin Rapids, WI)
Job description
Duties of the Job:
- Calibrates and replaces instrument devices.
- Troubleshooting Motor Control Centers.
- Manipulates/programs and troubleshoots PLC motor control logic of Rockwell and Siemens
- Self-plans with blueprint reading, pipe runs, and wire pulls.
- Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.
- Assists with developing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs.
- Performs general housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Trains apprentices and others as required.
On-The-Job Requirements:
- Participate in related instruction and/or training by vendors as required, e.g., Allen Bradley, General Electric, Siemens, etc.
- Be capable of lifting up to 50-70 lbs. (e.g., controllers, valves, transmitters, conduit, etc.)
- Be capable of bending, stooping, reaching, turning, and twisting daily.
- Be able to work independently, be able to prioritize work, and be a self-starter.
- Be able to effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
- Comply with company respirator policy.
- Be able to work shift work, overtime, Sundays, and holidays as required to fill shop coverage requirements.
- Be able to respond to call-ins. A company telephone is provided.
- Have general knowledge in using conduit threading and bending equipment.
- Read and update blueprints, loop sheets, and schematic diagrams.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Have completed a State Indentured E &/or I Apprenticeship Program or equivalent and holds a current state journeyman license.
- Have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive.
- Understand basic computer skills.
- Experience with NFPA 70E training.
