We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial and Business Unit Controlling team.
The Finance Business Partner will play a crucial role in contributing to the financial performance of the business area Paperboard (Europe) and its various functions. Key focus areas are but not limited to; financial planning and analysis, periodic closings, reporting and financial insight generation to supporting decision-making that drives growth and profitability improvements. Billerud operates in a matrix structure and this role reports to the Senior Director Commercial Finance and Business Unit Controlling Europe.
Your main tasks will be:
- Proactively plan, lead, develop and drive a business enabling agenda focused on increasing growth and profitability in line with strategy and financial targets.
- Lead consolidation and drive performance analysis of the Business Area.
- Produce, present and communicate monthly/quarterly/annual performance follow-up and analysis (incl. QBR and MBR in required forums in adherence to financial formats and calendars).
- Interpret, explain and drive financial performance and awareness across the business area
- Support, challenge and proactively highlight possibilities to maximize value creation.
- Act as a financial role model who leads by example and fosters an inclusive and performance-oriented “can do” culture across Business Area Paper and the wider finance community.
- Finance process ownership for the Business Area including deployment of Group common Business Control processes such as long-term Financial planning, business planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Closely cooperate with Accounting and Reporting teams (Group, EU and BFS) to ensure adequate feed of management reporting to correctly reflect business performance.
The role reports to the Senior Director Commercial Finance and Business Unit Controlling Europe and is based in Solna, Stockholm.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders. To succeed in this position, we believe you have:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent relevant area.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a business controller, Finance Business Partner or equivalent relevant area.
- Excellent skills in Excel (VBA is a plus), PowerPoint and preferably Power BI.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in Swedish and English.
Experience from the process or manufacturing industry is highly valued, as well as familiarity with the consolidation system Cognos or similar systems.
