White sack paper
Billerud's white sack paper meets the toughest demands for strength, purity, printing and appearance. Our range of white sack paper covers everything from standard paper for sewn sacks to advanced, high-porosity paper for fast filling of powdered goods such as building materials, chemicals and food. The even profile of the paper means that it runs well in fast, modern machinery. Our white sack paper is approved in accordance with the German norms for transport of dangerous goods.
Brown sack paper
Our strongest papers are found in our brown sack paper range. High strength combined with good operation in converting machines means that strong, cost-efficient packaging can be made using our paper. Brown sack paper has a wide range of applications, including sacks for cement, food and animal feed. Our brown sack paper is approved in accordance with the German norms for transport of dangerous goods.

Cement and building materials
Aided by compressed air, valve sacks can be filled rapidly with cement and other powdered goods for the construction industry. This filling method places extremely high demands on the sack paper. But thanks to a unique combination of strength and porosity, Billerud’s QuickFill products meet these high demands. In fact, the low air resistance of the paper means perforations are not normally needed. Ultimately, QuickFill paper sacks offer faster filling, less dust and lower weight. Furthermore, when combined with perforated PE free-film, an efficient moisture barrier can be created. All in all, it is difficult to find more cost-efficient packaging solutions than those provided by QuickFill paper.
Chemicals
Strength and porosity are also key features when packing chemicals into valve sacks. As a matter of fact, paper strength is the most crucial feature of all, particularly when handling dangerous goods. Our strong Performance and QuickFill grades will suit your purpose. PE coating or free- film are used for contents or climates requiring a moisture barrier
Food
Sugar, flour, rice and potatoes all place different demands on the sack kraft paper and paper sack. Billerud has a complete range of sack papers suitable for the food industry – whether you require an open-mouth or valve sack. For foods with a high moisture level, not least potatoes, Billerud supplies white wet strength sack kraft.
Animal feed
Paper sacks filled with animal feed are often subjected to rough handling and tough weather. That’s why a well functioning sack is necessary for the feed to reach the farmers in a good condition. Thus, overall strength is of primary importance for the sack paper. For extremely demanding applications, a wet strength paper or a moisture barrier may be necessary.
Pet food
In the consumer market, the appearance of the sack is becoming ever more important. That is why excellent printability is essential. Billerud’s wide range of white sack papers is ideal for these demanding applications. By combining strength and high surface smoothness, we are able to achieve the best possible result.
