Billerud Medikraft
Where ISO 11607 standards are not required Billerud has developed a series of Medikraft medical papers for applications that do not require microbial barrier properties, but need to have good printability and excellent runability. Applications for these papers include the inner wrapping of single-use gloves, some dressings and other medical articles, where the industry needs a packaging paper that guarantees cleanliness and strength.
Billerud Sterikraft
Billerud Sterikraft offers excellent packaging paper characteristics in combination with microbial barrier properties, for both sterilised medical instruments and single-use articles. Sterikraft is able to withstand the different sterilisation methods the paper is exposed to and guarantees the sterility of the products right up until the time they are used. Sterikraft papers meet EN 868 and ISO 11607
standards.

Billerud´s kraft paper consists of 100% primary fibres. No hazardous substances are used in the production process and all additions are approved by REACH.
• Excellent runability:
all our medical papers are one side glazed. This gives a strong paper, perfect for excellent printability and runability in modern high speed-converting machines.
• Sterility:
Our paper is adapted to satisfy all common sterilisation methods
• Microbial barriers and permeability:
Our medical paper has small and even pores that provide a controlled permeability. This enables the sterilisation medium to pass through the paper and sterilise the products.
•Strong seal and clean peel:
Our medical papers are carefully designed and manufactured to provide a fibre free peel. This ensures the medical packaging ´s cleanliness at the point of use.
